Art in the Park
We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend; it was nice to soak up the last little bit of warmth before the weather turns cooler. Our weekend was packed with my friend Teila's wedding and my parent's visit. We went to the Marietta Art in the Park Festival. As you can tell, all the activity really wore our little guy out. Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Celebrating the Fourth
The summer months are full of fun holidays and I can honestly say that the Fourth of July is one of my favorites! We celebrated the Fourth with John's family. John Parker met his cousins, Christina and Stephen, for the first time and enjoyed some great cuddle time with his Aunt Susan and Grandma and Grandpa. He wore shorts for the first time and sported some adorable blue shoes. Check out how patriotic he is at such an early age.
I sadly missed seeing fireworks this year as I slept straight through the festivities. I think I get a pass this time due to sleep deprivation and not wanting to hurt John Parker's poor little ears.

Daddy's Day
Yesterday, John celebrated his first Daddy's Day. He is an awesome dad; I couldn't have asked for a more supportive and encouraging partner throughout my pregnancy and in these early weeks. John Parker decided to start his Daddy's Day off with early morning surprise of back to back dirty diapers. Rest assured, he did get his dad a real gift. He bought his daddy a tent for their many outdoor excursions. John has always looked forward to going camping and hiking with our son. Here are some pictures from the day.
